The Keighley Bus Company Boosts Service in the Yorkshire Dales
Exploring the picturesque landscapes and charming villages of the Yorkshire Dales just got a whole lot easier, thanks to The Keighley Bus Company‘s latest venture. Starting from April 2024, residents and visitors alike will have access to an improved bus service as the company in partnership with North Yorkshire Council prepares to run more buses on two key routes.
The Keighley Bus Company, renowned for its commitment to providing reliable and efficient transport solutions, has improved the current service to cater to the needs of the local communites and also the diverse needs of travelers eager to experience the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Yorkshire Dales. Whether you’re a hiking enthusiast seeking out remote trails, a history buff exploring ancient landmarks, or simply a nature lover craving tranquility, this improved bus service offers a hassle-free way to discover the hidden gems of the Dales.
The improvements will be on route 64 linking Ilkley, Addingham and Draughton with Skipton, and also on route 72 between Skipton, Cracoe, Threshfield and Grassington. The timetable is being improved to run every hour instead of roughly every two hours.
The introduction of this new bus service not only benefits tourists eager to explore the Dales but also provides vital transport links for local residents. With improved connectivity and increased frequency of services, communities within the Yorkshire Dales can enjoy enhanced accessibility to essential amenities, educational facilities, and employment opportunities.
Jim Craven, The Keighley Bus Company’s general manager, said: “We’re sure the increased services will be welcome news for our customers and for the local economy in Ilkley, Skipton, Grassington and the villages.”
