Yarndale 2025 is set to take place on Saturday 27th September and Sunday 28th September 2025 at the Skipton Auction Mart in North Yorkshire.
This acclaimed festival of yarn and woolly creativity is recognised as one of the UK’s leading events for makers and fibre enthusiasts, having been awarded Best Yarn Show or Event at the Yarn Industry Awards in both 2023 and 2024.
On Saturday, the show runs from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, and on Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm; set-up takes place on Friday 26th from 2 pm to 8 pm, and exhibitors are expected to attend both days. Designed for all ages and abilities (with carers and under‑16s welcome free with adult tickets), the weekend centres around browsing, squishing, and buying yarn, exploring everything from knitting and crochet to weaving, spinning, felting, and textile crafts.
The show features hundreds of exhibitors, ranging from indie dyers and small artisan businesses to guilds and established yarn producers. The full 2025 exhibitor list is available online, showcasing a diverse array of stalls dedicated to every aspect of fibre and textile creativity.
Attendees can also enjoy a varied workshops and talks programme, designed to teach new techniques or deepen existing skills. These sessions are led by experienced tutors and are included in the ticket price.
Additional features include Yarndale’s signature Worldwide Creative Project, where contributions from international makers create stunning communal displays that reflect colour, community, and craft spirit.
Visitors receive a complimentary show guide, free drop‑in making sessions, and shuttle transport from Skipton railway station or a designated charity car park.
Yarndale emphasises sustainability—encouraging re‑usable bottles and minimizing single‑use plastics—and showcases locally sourced British wool throughout the event to support small producers and heritage practices.
In short, Yarndale 2025 promises a vibrant, immersive celebration of wool, creativity, and community—perfect for makers of all stripes.
