Set in the picturesque market town of Knaresborough, this iconic event combines creativity, community spirit, and pure adrenaline. Watch as up to 90 teams parade through the streets in dazzling fancy dress, pushing wildly decorated beds in a colourful carnival atmosphere.

But this is no ordinary parade. After the festivities, the real challenge begins: a thrilling 2.4-mile race through cobbled streets, steep hills, and scenic parkland – all culminating in a dramatic river crossing of the River Nidd!

Running since 1966, this much-loved tradition attracts thousands of spectators each year and raises vital funds for local charities, making it as meaningful as it is entertaining.

From the lively parade at 1pm to the high-energy race starting at 3pm, plus live entertainment, food stalls, and family-friendly fun throughout the day, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
