yorkshiredales.co.uk was started ?? years ago with the aim of becoming THE portal for the Yorkshire Dales
It provides insightful and interesting content about Yorkshire Dales Business, Community, Culture & Creativity, Education, Environment, Food & Drink, and where to Stay and Enjoy, in addition to signposting the various excellent sector resources already available.
Since our launch our website traffic has doubled every month ???. Other stats here…
yorkshiredales.co.uk is currently funded solely by the generosity of a local philanthropist who is deeply passionate about the Yorkshire Dales. However, this initial funding will be coming to an end soon, and whilst the Directors are entirely voluntary and unpaid, constant updates and maintenance of the site, local promotions and our social media activity all carry a cost.
We intend to become a hub for the global Dales Community to connect, engage and contribute further content. We will be attending events to champion yorkshiredales.co.uk.
We deliver a diverse range of quality stories and signposts through the website and social media to champion the interests of the Yorkshire Dales to the widest possible audience.
If you have any ideas, suggestions or are able to help with any of these ambitions, please just let us know. If you think our work should continue, please keep reading!
How you can help:
We are now looking to create a Dales Ambassador network and, along with Yorkshire Dales organisations (both private and public sector), call on you all to help shape our future plans, direction, and actively support our activities and ambitions.
yorkshiredales.co.uk is independent of any lobbying, political affiliation or commercial bias, and whilst we wish to share positive and relevant stories about the Dales and its businesses, we are not planning to provide any commercial endorsement or promotion as part of our offer. A list of valued sponsors on our site feels like an appropriate way to say “thank you”.
Financial support from Dales Ambassadors and Dales businesses is essential to fund our current and future activities and enable us to continue to champion the interests of the the Dales and the communities within it.
If you can support us, we need your help. Give as much as you can afford monthly, or even donate on a one-off basis from £10. Thank you.
Any contribution however small is greatly appreciated and entirely voluntary.
