Description

The Tan Hill Inn is Britains Highest Pub. The distinctive and ancient Inn, which dates back to the 17th century and is located on a remote hilltop high in the Yorkshire Dales, boasts exposed beams, a stone-flagged floor, and displays delectable meals around a cosy fire. It has a long history as a historic inn that has hosted visitors as well as locals in need of a drink for hundreds of years. The pub is well-known for its untamed setting and spectacular panoramic views.

The World Famous Tan Hill Inn, which is located 1,732 feet (528 metres) above sea level, is Britain’s highest public house. The highest inn in Great Britain, which is located in the picturesque Swaledale region not far from Keld, is a popular gathering spot where walkers and cyclists may interact with those involved in the media, the arts, music, film, and theatre. The World Renowned Tan Hill Hotel extends a warm welcome to everyone.

Furthermore, you are welcome to stay for a romantic overnight sleep where the stars twinkle like lights on a Christmas tree. What a lovely spot to unwind and reflect on the great world we live in. with elegantly designed bedrooms, cosy beds, and cutting-edge en suite amenities.

Beautiful meandering rivers, broad moorlands, rolling hills, and other natural features can be found all around. With a variety of hiking routes and bridleways to explore, the region is a refuge for walkers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts. The Pennine Way, the Coast to Coast Walk, and the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks are a few well-known travel attractions.

Together with its stunning natural surroundings, the region is also full of historical and cultural attractions, including the nearby ruins of the mediaeval fortification of Richmond Castle. In and of itself, Richmond is a quaint market town with cobblestone lanes, old-fashioned structures, and a lively market square.

Overall, tourists may enjoy traditional Yorkshire hospitality, breath-taking natural beauty, and a rich cultural legacy at the World Famous Tan Hill Inn and in the area’s rural setting.

Bring your well-behaved dog to the inn for a wonderful walk after a delicious meal; however, we do ask that you keep your owners on a lead. Come and stay in stunning Swaledale, right in the middle of the Dales.
