Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival

Date: 9-18 October 2026
Organiser: Yorkshire Dales National Park

The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival is a food festival dedicated to celebrating the local cheese producers and their products – with local businesses throughout the National Park hosting their own special events, menus and tastings to mark the occasion.

The festival typically features a range of activities, including cheese tastings, workshops, cooking demonstrations, and guided tours of local cheese-making facilities.

Visitors have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of cheeses produced by local artisans and learn about the cheese-making process.

Be on the lookout for cheesey bites and themed dishes in local cafes and restaurants, demonstrations using local produce, cookery courses, dining experiences, Yorkshire gin and ales, specially crafted dairy ice creams and sorbets, jams, jellies, and chutneys, locally reared meat on menus, and the opportunity to meet the producers.
