Local Markets

RICHMOND MARKET
The Market Hall is open seven days a week and hosts a daily market with a very varied selection of goods.
9.00am – 4.00pm
Saturday Market is held at the top of the Market Place around the Obelisk.
9.00am – 4.00pm
A Farmers Market – is held every 3rd Saturday of the Month in the Market Place.

Situated in the Swaledale countryside Richmond is a thriving busy market town, the cobbled market place is thought to the biggest in the country indoor markets are held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays. Also on a Saturday is a busy outdoor market and a Farmers market comes to town on the third Saturday of every month.

 

 

Knaresborough Farmers Market
is held on Knaresborough Market Place on the third Saturday of every month from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.

The market sells fresh and organic produce, direct from the producer and sourced as locally as possible. It is an accredited FARMA market, which means that it adheres to the strict rules laid down by the recognised body responsible for running Farmers’ Markets throughout the country to ensure that the customers are provided with fresh, local produce.

 

Masham Market
General market: Every Wednesday, Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday
Farmers Market: First Sunday of every month from April to September
Masham market received its first charter from Henry III in 1251. The beautiful Georgian market place is Yorkshire\’s largest, with market days twice weekly throughout the year as well as speciality markets.

Reeth Market

Friday 9am – 4pm

Reeth market is on the green.

Reeth is situated at the meeting point of the two most northerly of the Yorkshire Dales: Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.In Saxon times, Reeth was only a settlement on the forest edge, but by the time of the Norman Conquest it had grown sufficiently in importance to be noted in the Doomsday Book.
