If you are a member of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society you DO NOT need to buy tickets to the Show. Members will have access to all four days, you WILL need to bring your membership card with you on all the days you attend.

As visitor numbers will be capped each day, tickets were only available to purchase in advance and will not be available to purchase on the gate.

Tickets are non transferable, as tickets are day specific they cannot be used or swapped for an alternative day.

Ticket booking deadlines (subject to availability):

• By phone & post – 5pm on 4 July 2023
• E-tickets – midnight the evening before you wish to attend (subject to availability)
• Grandstand tickets (these DO NOT give entry to the Show) – advance e-tickets end at midnight on Saturday 8 July 2023. Tickets will be available to purchase from the Grandstand Ticket Office during the Show (subject to availability

  Disabled Parking

  Sainsbury’s car park, off Wetherby Road, is the designated disabled visitors’ car park with easy access to both Yellow and Green entrances. Access to the show is via the Orange entrance with the availability of a drop off/pick up point from Sainsbury’s car park.

  Local Authority Permits (Blue Badges) or Great Yorkshire Show Disabled Parking Labels should be clearly displayed. Blue badge holders do not require a GYS label.

  Parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance and are available on a first come, first served basis.  If the car park is full additional parking will be available in alternative areas.

  Most walkways around the Showground are hard standing with ramps that are accessible by wheelchairs. Grass avenues are also rolled to help with access around the Show.

  The Showground is however on a slope which can mean a degree of effort to push a wheelchair around.

  Tickets for Disabled Visitors & Carers

  As from 2023, carer tickets no longer need to be arranged in advance. However, all visiting guests except for the carer require a purchased entry ticket which are available online or via the ticket line (subject to availability).

  Carers can now gain free entry on the day, so that one carer will be able to enter the Great Yorkshire Show when accompanying a guest who cannot cope without their support.

  To gain free entry for the carer on the day of your visit to the Show, you will need to present one of the following forms of documentation at the gate:

  • A valid Blue badge
  • Allowance Book or Letter confirming Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance (DLA), or Personal Independence Payments (PIP)
  • Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award
  • Incapacity Benefit books or confirmation letter
  • Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) or BD8

  

  Advanced Mobility

  Advanced Mobility offer a wheelchair and electric scooter hire service at the 2023 Great Yorkshire Show. They are situated on Third Avenue near the Orange Entrance.

  Prices for 2023 are: £30 large/medium electric scooter, £10 manual wheelchair

  Disabled Toilets

  Most toilets on the Showground have disabled facilities. These are clearly shown on maps located around the Showground or in the Souvenir Programme.

  Changing Places Facility

  A changing facility for disabled children and adults is available in Hall 2. This has more space and includes a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench and hoist.

  Please visit our colleagues at the information point in Hall 1 and they will be able to arrange access.

  Grandstand Access

  Wheelchair viewing platforms are available for disabled visitors and their carers at either end of the Grandstand. These are free and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

  There is a £5 booking charge for the remainder of the Grandstand. Information about booking tickets will be available in November 2021.
