This practical workshop is aimed at tourism businesses operating in the Yorkshire Dales. It will be presented by expert astro-tourism astronomers Richard Darn and Neill Sanders, offering an informal and enjoyable opportunity to learn more about what our International Dark Sky Reserve status means for the Yorkshire Dales, what maintaining the status entails and what benefits Dark Sky Reserve status might bring to local businesses. In particular, we’ll be focusing on how you can use this ‘special quality’ to entice those visitors with a growing interest in experiencing a truly dark sky.

The session will, weather permitting, include time outside to give you a chance to view the stars and experience how a ‘Star party’ is run, so you’ll need to bring warm clothing!
