We give you not one, not two, not even three, but five brilliant stand-up comedians, including the Runner-Up of Britain’s Got Talent 2018.
Compéred by Edd Hedges, this is a feast of stand-up comedy not to be missed.
Edd Hedges – Back by popular demand and with an incredibly endearing stage presence, Essex-boy Edd Hedges has a natural affinity with an audience and since winning So You Think You’re Funny in 2013 his career has skyrocketed. Taking the UK circuit by storm, Edd can also be seen performing his unique style of ridiculous anecdotes and has all the hallmarks of a very promising career.
‘Edd Hedges is a joy to watch’ – The Scotsman
Matt Rees – Multi-award-winning Welsh comedian, Matt Rees, has generated a huge buzz on the circuit over the past few years with his unique brand of well-crafted gags and acerbic delivery earning him high praise from audiences and critics alike. He is now taking on the world of TV, making guest appearances on the likes of BBC’s Edinburgh Fringe Highlights and the hugely successful, This Country (also BBC).
‘A properly original comedy mind’ – The Guardian
Saskia Preston – Saskia Preston has made a name for herself as an act who delivers up offbeat one liners and observations in a unique and playful style. A finalist in the Max Turner Comedy Award 2013, Funny Women Award 2013 and Comedy Knights Fresh Comedian of 2013 competition, Saskia was also shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award 2013 broadcast on BBC Radio 4 extra and more recently (2015) she was in the Laughing Horse New Comedian of the Year Final.
‘Superb gag-writer…one to watch’ – London Is Funny
Darren Altman – Darren Altman is a voiceover artist and impressionist, who won audiences over competing in Britain’s Got Talent 2016. His first audition earned him a standing ovation from the crowd and all four judges, while his performance in the semi-finals saw him finish an impressive 4th place.
‘Of all the years we’ve had impressionists on this show, I genuinely think this is the best and most original act we’ve had’ – Simon Cowell
Robert White – Robert White is the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit. Known for his brilliant timing and performance style, Robert’s chaotic stage presence, improvisational skills and delivery won him the 2010 Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality. And in the same year, he wrote one of Dave’s Top Ten Jokes of The Fringe. He appeared in the Final of Britain’s Got Talent 2018 on 3 June and came second overall.
‘You are such a funny man‘ – David Walliams
‘Jaw-dropping riot…Get him on Shooting Stars!’ – The List
