Plans underway for Bilsdale Show 2017
Plans are now well underway for the 107th Bilsdale Agricultural Society Show. This year sees an increase to sheep section with a range of new classes for the Jacob breed.
There are also new classes in the General section with the introduction of a Scarecrow class, open to clubs, charities businesses etc. The tallest thistle class is back by popular demand as is a new class for gluten-free baking.
The new course for the fell race worked well last year and will be run again this year and due to interest in the quoits competition we will also we be running a children’s quoits class alongside the adult class.
There will be lots to see on the show field including a trials bike display, heavy horse display, parade of vintage tractors and other vehicles, live music from country band “The Miliners” and our own Bilsdale Silver Band.
This year sees the return of the President’s luncheon to which all vice presidents are invited, this will take place in the new exclusive dining area. We are also introducing Patron membership which includes entry to the field and show field parking.
