For the fifth year, the Aldborough & Boroughbridge Agricultural Show is returning to the spectacular setting of Newby Hall, nr. Ripon. The prestigious show, to be held on Sunday July 23rd includes entry into the award winning gardens and legendary adventure playground, complete with pedalo boats, zip wire and miniature railway! Access to the beautiful Georgian house is also available on the day at a discounted rate.
This unique collaboration will provide the ultimate Yorkshire family day out and will give visitors the opportunity to explore local farming practices and see some of the best livestock, vintage vehicles and produce grown in the local area.
This is an exciting opportunity for local people to show off their talents with a whole host of competitions in many varied categories, including baking, handicrafts, horticulture, children’s classes, flower arranging, photography and farm produce! For our four legged friends’ there will be dog, cattle and sheep showing classes and for the equine lovers there will also be our horse and donkey classes. The heavy horses will also be an integral part of the show, along with the fabulous private driving classes. The Grand Ring will play host to spectacular displays and competitions with the children’s races and terrier racing always a huge hit. Newby season ticket holders receive a 50% discount on the day – no need to book, just bring your membership card. Historic Houses cards NOT accepted on show day.
