Camping offers a fantastic way to experience the great outdoors and get a real taste for what the Yorkshire Dales really has to offer.
Across the National Park you will find an abundance of charming campsites, each with their own quirks and benefits. Most of these are equipped with everything you could possibly need including electricity connections, play areas, hot showers, shops and club houses. Many are also situated on the edge of picturesque villages, giving you access to further amenities.
For the more adventurous, it can put you closer to the action. The Dales is home to some of the best locations for rock climbing, pot holing, fell running and abseiling in the country and a campsite can provide the perfect base.
If you want to have the camping experience but still enjoy some of the comforts of indoors then you may want to consider one of the regions many caravan parks. A number of them have static caravans you can stay in which have central heating, digital TVs and even internet connections. There are also some locations where you can bring your own caravan if you wish.
